Our Veterinarians

Tim Dalpiaz
Tim Dalpiaz

DVM

Tim Dalpiaz graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2003, where he earned his DVM. Dr. Dalpiaz then completed his clinical internship at Louisiana State University, where he was able to work alongside several accomplished board-certified oncology specialists with a wide variety of medical conditions. His professional interests include surgery and dentistry.

When Dr. Dalpiaz is not busy caring for his patients, he enjoys snowboarding, kayaking, hiking, traveling, and parachuting. He lives in the Tri-cities with his two daughters, and their sphynx cats Joe and SJ.

Whitney Lemarr
Whitney Lemarr

DVM

Whitney Lemarr graduated from Auburn University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2005, where she earned her DVM. After graduating, Dr. Lemarr completed her clinical internship at Carolina Veterinary Specialists in Greensboro, NC. Dr. Lemarr especially enjoys internal medicine, where she has the ability to treat a broad spectrum of patients.

In Dr. Lemarr’s spare time, she enjoys hiking, biking, and reading anything that she can get her hands on. Dr. Lemarr resides in the Tri-Cities with her son, several dogs, and cats.

Sara Newell
Sara Newell

DVM

Sara Newell attended Mississippi State University for her undergraduate degree and went on to graduate from the University of Tennessee in 2001, where she earned her DVM. Dr. Newell worked in a mixed animal practice in Sevier County for a year and a half after graduating, but since then, she moved back to the Tri-City area, where she has been practicing ever since. She enjoys building relationships with her patients and their families and particularly enjoys dentistry, internal medicine, and physical rehabilitation.

During her free time, Dr. Newell can be found camping, hiking, and curling up with a good book. Born and raised in the Tri-Cities, Dr. Newell lives in Jonesborough with her family, dogs, cats, horse, and chickens!

Brooke Baker
Brooke Baker

DVM

Dr. Brooke Baker is originally from Dalton, Georgia, but fell in love with the East Tennessee mountains during her undergraduate studies. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from East Tennessee State University, with a concentration in chemistry and biology. Dr. Baker attended veterinary school at Ross University on the Caribbean island of St. Kitts; she completed her clinical year at the University of Tennessee.

Dr. Baker’s interests include soft tissue surgery and educating clients on preventative measures to keep their pets happy and healthy. In her free time, Dr. Baker enjoys spending time with her two rescue dogs Charlie and Gurdy as well as her cat named Toad. Her hobbies include gardening, canning, scuba diving, and travel.

Katie graduated from St. Petersburg College in FL in 2015, where she received her certification as a licensed technician. She moved to the area from Knoxville in 2013 and started here in 2018. Katie has a husky, Boomie, a terrier mix, Suki, and two cats at home.

Rachael graduated in 2017 from Lincoln Memorial University, where she received her certification as a licensed technician. She started in 2018 and has a pit bull, Maple, at home, as well as 2 cats. She likes to read and crochet.

Kayla graduated from Lincoln Memorial University in 2021, where she received her certification as a licensed technician, and started at BCAH later that year. She grew up in Kingsport and has a hound mix, Daisy, and 3 cats at home. Kayla enjoys painting.

During her free time, Dr. Newell can be found camping, hiking, and curling up with a good book. Born and raised in the Tri-Cities, Dr. Newell lives in Jonesborough with her family, dogs, cats, horse, and chickens!

Nikki is from the Tri-Cities and has been in veterinary medicine for 9 years. She started here in 2020 and has a collection of cats at home.

Kelly moved to the Tri-Cities area in 2009 and has been in veterinary medicine for over 20 years. She started in 2023 and has a golden retriever, Ginger, and 5 cats at home.

Brianna grew up in NY and moved to the area in 2017, starting at BCAH the same year. She has 2 German shepherds at home, Zazu and Lacey, as well as 3 cats. She likes reading and crafting.
